I began my musical journey at the age of five in Malaysia, my country of origin. From an early age, I received classical training, which laid a strong foundation for my development as a musician. I later pursued formal studies in contemporary music at university, graduating with a Bachelor of Contemporary Music (Hons.) in 2009.
In the same year, I was honored as the runner-up in the Jazz/Pop category of the Roland Music Festival competition, marking an early milestone in my performance career. Shortly after, I began my professional teaching journey, working with both private students and established music institutions, including leading organisations such as Roland and Yamaha.
Over the years, I have taught piano, music theory, composition, and arrangement, and I am proficient across a wide range of styles including classical, jazz, pop, and Latin music. My teaching approach combines strong technical foundations with creativity and real-world musical application.
Alongside teaching, I have maintained an active performance career as a pianist and vocalist. I have performed extensively in bars, lounges, clubs, weddings, and corporate events, as well as in prestigious venues such as hotels and resorts. My international performance experience also includes work aboard major cruise lines, including Royal Caribbean International.
In 2018, I relocated to New Zealand to further expand my professional experience and continue developing my work as an educator.
